Holy Rhythm
I see God’s rhythm in a leaf that falls,
The thrust of salmon at a waterfall,
The waggle of a bee, the turtledove’s cry,
The dart of a dragonfly as it hastens by.
Boundless sailing clouds – where do they go?
Laced with sunshine, rain or snow.
Wind-swept grass, endless waves of the sea,
All in accord with the Man of Galilee.

There’s rhythm in life when things go wrong,
According to His mercy, He gives us a song,
Harmonious patterns of shadow and light,
Knowing God does everything right.

SUMMER 2010 - My, what a busy and wonderful summer since our last writing. Our Deaconesses have been busy even with all the heat!
We have had our planning meetings each month with the July meeting hosted by Sue Hamric at her home. Sue, we appreciate the wonderful food and fellowship.
Meals were prepared to the family of Woody Wilson in the passing of his beloved mother and the family of Virginia Elmore at her passing. May God bless all the family members as they recall the love of each of these precious mothers.
Flowers were placed in the church in memory of Macie Mace, sister of Bessie Wilson and Charlene Linville, sister-in-law of Becky Rexrode.
The Deaconesses hosted the Ladies Appreciation luncheon in June with the men of the church serving. What a great day of fellowship and fun for all. Ladies, don’t ever let your husbands say they can’t do the kitchen work – we will beg to differ with them! Thanks to everyone that participated.
We have hosted luncheons at the Church Street Deli for ladies of the church each month. I believe the Deaconesses are receiving more of a blessing than the ladies. We will continue with this each month until the end of the year.
Eight meals have been prepared and delivered to families that have been ill or illness in their family. This is also a blessing for the ladies of the Board.
Fall is right around the corner with the beginning of school (sorry teachers) and cooler weather. Enjoy the remainder of the season and remember to always keep our precious Lord first in your life.
Blessings from your Deaconesses Board/span>
